Hi I’m Aly! Real Estate has been in my family for about 6 years with my father in law and mentor working in the industry for over 15 years. Once my time Oil and Gas had ended, I started to work with my father-in-law to learn the industry and how best to service my clients. In 2016 I branched out to work on my own, ensuring my clients receive the very best in customer service and enjoy the experience of buying or selling their home. My drive to for continuous process improvement ensure that the skills I provide to my clients are at their peak and that my clients can rest assure they can trust their greatest asset with me.
How did I get here? Here’s my story.
I’ve had the great fortune to call Calgary my home my entire life. My parents first moved here in the in 1970s and our first home was in Marlborough in the Northeast. Growing up we moved to Edgemont and Hawkwood in the Northwest where I got to grow with some great friends, family and community. I attended Sir Winston Churchill High School and the University of Calgary thereafter majoring in Mathematics I was able to learn and network with great friends and peers by joining various student associations and clubs.
My very first job introduced me to my passion of customer service. Being a bagger/grocery take-out clerk for Crowfoot CO-OP at the age of 14 I learned the value of great customer service and how fulfilling it is to see customers satisfied and happy with you. I went on to work at several retail outlets such as Old Navy, Superstore, Walmart, my family run restaurant Bits & Bites and finally my first role of out university, WestJet. Each of these great opportunities allowed me to learn more about service and refine my skills to give the customer the very best experience.
After completing my degree I had the great fortune of starting a contractor position at Husky Energy and moving into a full time role for the first 5 years of my career in Financial Reporting. I then moved on to Suncor Energy a strong contributor for another 3 years as a Performance Analyst completing budgeting, forecasting, long range plan and variance analysis for the largest Suncor Oil Sands Mines at the time.
All of these great experiences, friends, family, peers and colleagues have given me the tools to do my very best in the real estate industry. Our industry is constantly changing, but the one thing that remains is that it is a people business. Serve your clients well and you will do well. That is my mantra and I hope I can have the great fortune of meeting you and learning your story!
